Council Room of the RSRR

In this room, the Council which heads the RSRR does business. Invitation only. The current council consist of Nemor Hawk, Peter Petrish, Susanna Markee, Cych Woolo, and Gruhman Deeds.

Carmine heard voices chatting intensely from within the Council room, he slipped in and stood in the back, waiting to be briefed on the mission.

The whole council had assembled, along with the four knight commanders of each order operating in the RSSR. Several other soldiers were present for the briefing as well. The council speaker waited until the last stragglers entered the room and then addressed those present.

By now, I am sure you all have heard of the rouge mission that was carried out the other day. It came as a surprise, both pleasant and otherwise, to the council. As such, we are creating two separate teams to investigate how they pulled it. One team will remain here in the area we control to assist in interrogating the few survivors of the attack. The others will venture into Nissentia along the trail they we think they took. This second group will serve two missions. If they are able, they will initiate a second attack. Regardless, they will be required to report the situation back to us. Spoke Cych Woolo.

Carmine laughed lightly, and spoke to Cych arrogantly,

So, boss man, who is leading the second group?

Cych was probably the most outspoken of the council members in regards to Carmine and his homicidal behavior. It was no secret that he loathed him deeply. Through gritted teeth he addressed him You will be leading the assault team

Drake walks in grinning

So we are finally going to do something

He looks at the council members

Carmine nods at Drake, a demonic grin appearing on his face, then continued taunting Cych.

Aha, looks like you've finally recognized my talent. I won't disappoint you, cap-e-tan~ So then, all I need to know are the names of my team members, and the location of this trail.

Finally...i began to think the council was scared

Cych sighs. And nods to Susanna. The secondary team will be comprised of Carmine as the squad leader. Drake will be second in command. Privates Merric, Goff, Bacon, and Lenxxon will go as well. Humblan will be the mage hand and Farnella will be the medic.

Carmine halfheartedly saluted Susanna, then turned to speak to Drake and the team.

First off, "Secondary Team" is a boring, tedious title. Henceforth, our team will be code named 'Harbinger'. You all have an hour to gather your equipment and then meet up at the trail. Dismissed.


Carmine glanced back over his shoulder at Susanna and Cych.

Is there anything else? If not, I'd rather be on my way... the air in this room stinks of aristocrats and nobility...

Cych bites back the harsh words he wanted to say. Susanna instead addressed Carmine. We know you like to do things quite messy. This time, we need you to restrain yourself a bit. At least until you discover a weak point in Nissentia's defenses. I trust, no, the whole council is sure you will complete the task effectively

Carmine couldn't imagine why a weak spot was so sought after, in his mind, the stronger the defense, the more satisfaction he got out of ripping it apart. However, he did not want to let this opportunity pass. He shrugged and walked over to Drake.

The council was anxious to hear Carmine's report. They hadn't expected such a fast turn around but complaints were not voiced. So what have you found? Susanna asked.

The council was shocked by the new news. We have already inducted several new recruits from the outlying areas. Many are in training, others possessing battle experience have gone off on patrols.

Well, why don't you investigate the ones in training, they are probably legitimate anyways, meanwhile I'll take some friends of mine and we will intercept all of the patrolling platoons. I know a Nissentian when I see one.

Carmine had a smug look of superiority.

Besides, having me deal with it is the best option for cowards who wage war from behind their desks.

Cych bristled at the comment, ready to speak his mind. But he was stilled by Nemor Hawk, the only member of the council to have ever seen combat. Handle things your way Carmine. We will begin the greater operations. Nemor said in his heavy voice.

Greater operations? I'll take that to mean you're planning an assault on Nissentia. How amusing.


Carmine exited and returned to Suunus and his men.

New recruits with battle experience are on patrol right now, there are several posts close to the village where they could be. The first one is only a quarter mile from here. An infiltration team would try to stay close. Let's go say hello.

Suunus grinned that evil grin I do love the way you think Carmine. Blood to cause rivers through these lands. Oh what a joyous thought They set off for the unsuspecting team
