The Barracks

Here all the squires, apprentices, and medical assistants sleep and mingle. All members of the RSRR speak in INDIGO

Carmine leaned against the barracks, watching the Warriors and Mages come and go. He wasn't officially ranked as a member of the RSRR, because he was viewed among his peers as more of a weapon than a human. There were only two ways for him to get assignments. Most often, when enlisted soldiers of the RSRR needed an extra pair of hands, they would approach Carmine to assist them in their tasks. Secondly, and much more rarely, the Council would also seek Carmine out, for the missions too dangerous and suicidal for their privileged members.

Two full days without any work.. This isn't even a funny joke. I need to let loose soon... I need something to shred to pieces..

Word was buzzing around the barracks of a rouge platoon of RSSR soldiers who had attacked Nissentia in its very capital. Everyone had heard of the squad of Nissentian knights that had been killed but that had taken place at the border. This was different. Never before had any faction or nation penetrated so deep into the great nation. Soon the council was calling for volunteer for a new mission. Needless to say, Carmine was summon to join in.

The rumors piqued Carmine's interest, and he hurried to Council room after being summoned.
